Trams 1, 2 & 5 (from central station) stop on the bridge over the Prinsengracht, and The Cave is just 50 yards away from there.
Trams 6, 7 & 10 stop at the Leidseplein.
Walk up the Leidsestraat to the first bridge and turn right. On foot from central station (about 20 minutes):
Leave the station along the taxi rank and follow the traffic and tram lines going down the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal.
Stay on this street as you pass behind the royal palace on the Dam. After a while you come to a small square called Spui.
Keep following the tram lines as they weave to the right, the left (along the water) and again to the right (over the water.)
You're now at the top of the Leidsestraat, by the supermarket Albert Heijn.
Still following the tram lines, walk down this street until you come to the third canal.
This is the Prinsengracht across the bridge you'll see a small cinema called De Uitkijk.
Walk along the front of the cinema and The Cave is about 50 yards further on the same side. |
