Since the 22th of august 2008, there are 600 bands in the metalheadrock database. All the bands bios are written and updated in 3 languages (dutch-fr ench and english) by registered editors.

On the 25th of august another new free feature is installed : registered users can activate and update their own weblog. These are private areas where editors can pubslish their personal writings and publish it online.

Myrkvar, the newest member of the Shiver Records-family, will release their first full-length album andacute;Als een Woeste Hordeandacute; in September.

The band Myrkvar dates back to 2003, when it started as a black metal band. Since then, Myrkvar has experienced the coming and going of multiple musicians, which over time shifted the character of its black origins to a more folk style. The moniker Myrkvar was kept, because itandacute;s meaning andacute;eclipseandacute; can be interpreted as darkening folk music, which is exactly what the band does nowadays. Itandacute;s live-shows are said to be extremely energetic, powerful and definitaly worth a visit.

On this first full-length album, which has been recorded in the end of 2006, Myrkvar presents folk melodies on violin and keys, accompanied by heavy guitar riffs, black metal blasts and very dancable humpaas. You will also hear the first forecasts of their music with more andacute;cleanandacute; vocals, which will lead to an even more diverse sound in the future.

BLEEDING THROUGH will release their crushing new album "Declaration" on September 30, 2008. The new album is a darker, angrier, and heavier album than anything you have heard from this band before. Singer Brandan Schieppati checked in from Europe to say, "We are excited to release Declaration, we all feel it reflects what this band is truly about: making an intense and heavy record. And we are happy to bring this intensity to the kids that will be at the BFMV tour."
