Manfred van Zadelhoff Rusty Cage Records started operations during the summer of 2006 and has evolved, within one year, from nothing into a record label known for his special re-releases and support of talented young metal bands. The Rusty Cage logo has come to mean two things to metal fans and bands around the world: a high standard of quality in musicianship and presentation.

Founders Manfred van Zadelhoff and Remco Bouwens were active musicians themselves from the beginning of the eighties until the beginning of this millennium. Manfred as founder and bassplayer of "L.W.S. inc." and Remco as founder and drummer of "Defender". They also played together with "Jewel" frontman Rick Ambrose in a band called "MAC-11".

The experience they've gained during this long period will help young bands to become accepted players in the metal scene. Strong, present and future, relationships with magazines, radio-stations, promotors and booking agencies will make the path to success less frustrating for bands working with RCR.

Remco Bouwens Mission Statement:
  • Professional promotion and distribution of all types of talented metal artists.
  • Becoming an "extra bandmember"
  • Developing new metal related activities
