Shortly after the release of their ’Tribute To Totalitarianism’ CD, Kristien Dros (vocals) and Joep Van Leeuwen (drums) decided to leave Izegrim. Van Leeuwen was replaced by Ivo Maarhuis and (female) bassist Marloes Voskuil decided to take over the vocal duties. ‘Point Of No Return’ is their first effort in the new line-up (which is completed by Jeroen Tichgelaer and Bart Van Ginkel on guitars) and a great one it has become!
The MCD contains three new songs and a new version of their 2002 ‘Angel Of Demise’ track that originally was released on the now sold out ‘Guidelines For Genocide’ CD. ‘Point Of No Return’ has become a giant step forward for this band. Constant touring has earned them a legion of fans but according to this MCD, there will be a shitload more soon. Izegrim is a raging order of thundering deathrash metal and I’m already looking forward to a new full-length album. What doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger…
