First of all we want to thank you all for the great feedback we received during 2007. It was a busy year for RCR and our bands:
- RCR anniversary fest with Jewel, L.W.S. Inc., Defender, Cypher, Non-Divine and Paul Clark
- Non-Divine, Obsidian and Magnacult added to the RCR roster
- Non-Divine supported Queensryche, Nevermore, Primal Fear, W.A.S.P, UDO, Alchemist, Sabaton, After Forever & Autumn
- Cypher and Obsidian played the prestigious Arnhem Metal Meeting 2007
- Defender on the road again in Greece, Germany and with metal legends Diamond Head
| IZEGRIM signs with Rusty Cage Records
Again, a great band is added to the ranks of Rusty Cage Records. This time we have signed Dutch thrashers Izegrim. Their upcoming cd Tribute To Totalitarianism will be released (as an exclusive digi-pack) on February 29th. Expect an Izegrim-style Thrash/Death Metal hybrid with quite a few Stoner influences and faint Gothenburg-style melody, accompanied with some ferocious polemics that will not leave much to the imagination regarding the current state of world affairs. |

Tribute to Totalitarianism is an album that firmly kicks one right in the balls. With its exceptionally savage yet groovy brand of thrash-metal, IZEGRIM is a band unlike any other. Although their personalities are modest, their ambitions are not: IZEGRIM is determined to conquer the stages of Western Europe and abroad. All recordings are mixed and mastered by Jochem Jacobs (Split Second Sound), who has worked for bands such as Textures, Autumn, The Lucifer Principle and many others (including Cypher, Magnacult and Obsidian!). Izegrim will join Non-Divine at the European Tour of Flotsam & Jetsam, where they also play the Metal Mania Festival in Poland (Megadeth, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Satyricon, Overkill and many others). Together with Dennis Lubbers, a very talented filmmaker of the filmcademy in Amsterdam, Obsidian shot their first videoclip "Footprints" of their album Emerging. Check it out! Cypher parted ways with drummer Due to musical differences, Cypher and drummer Frank have parted ways. RCR and Cypher want to thank him for his dedication and we wish him all the best in his future musical endeavors. Koen Herfst (Baggabownz, I-Chaos, ex-Epica, ex-After Forever) has agreed to help Cypher out until they find a permanent replacement. So as of now Cypher is looking for a new drummer. Drumparts new album recorded During the last month of 2007 all drumparts of the forthcoming Defender album has been recorded. The next months will be used to record all other parts.
